Mirror Site Program

The OCW Mirror Site Program provides free copies of the MIT OpenCourseWare website on hard drives to educational organizations with limited or costly Internet access.

To be eligible for a free mirror site, an organization must:

  • be a non-profit entity
  • have local hosting or workstations to support mirror site use
  • have staff and resources sufficient to maintain the mirror site

Organizations hosting mirror sites agree to:

  • promote the resource to local audiences
  • update the mirror content regularly using our remote updating system
  • provide mirror site usage data back to OCW
