Dear Friend of OCW,
It’s a privilege to be part of MIT’s effort to provide free and open access to educational resources and help anyone willing to learn and improve their lives. And as part of the MIT Campaign for a Better World, OCW continues to meet the needs of learners eager to enhance their knowledge, lift up their communities, and change the world for the benefit of everyone.
We are thrilled to see more and more people using OCW resources. In the last twelve months, our site has been visited by more than 18.7 million people. We are particularly excited about the many educators who visit our site because we know they access our resources to get new ideas for their own teaching, incorporate OCW materials into their courses, and find additional learning materials for their students. These are but a few of the reasons people use OCW, but they help illustrate how powerful OCW’s impact can be.
Even though OCW has enjoyed 15 years of service to the world, we know there are millions of people still unaware of all that our website offers. We are grateful to SapientNitro for producing a new About OCW video that tells the story of our beginnings, our mission, and what people can do with our content.
Please help us spread the word about OCW by sharing this video (Facebook, Twitter, Google+) with your family, friends, and colleagues. With your help, we can further raise awareness about OCW and advance our mission of unlocking knowledge and empowering minds.
Thank you for using, visiting, and sharing OCW. We look forward to serving you for another 15 years of open sharing.
Sincerely,
Cecilia d'Oliveira
